Stinta Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and the Stinta Privacy Notice. If you are using the Services on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

2. Eligibility

You must meet any applicable minimum age requirement to use the Services. The specific minimum age and any parental/guardian consent requirements will be confirmed before publication.

3. Accounts and Account Security

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
• You may not share your account or allow others to access it.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• Notify Stinta of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Stinta Services

Stinta provides educational and career-development simulations, including career pathways, assignments, datasets, simulated tools, feedback, portfolio artifacts, certificates and related features. The specific features available may vary by subscription plan and may change over time.

5. Simulated Workplace Experiences

Stinta provides educational and career-development simulations. Key points:

• Stints do not constitute employment, internships, apprenticeships, contract work or consulting engagements.
• The fictional simulation companies do not employ learners.
• Stinta simulations may simplify or adapt real-world processes for educational purposes.
• All companies, employees, customers, patients, providers, datasets and scenarios are fictional unless explicitly stated otherwise.

6. No Employment Relationship

Participating in a Stint does not create an employment relationship with Stinta or any fictional simulation company. Learners are not performing productive work and are not entitled to compensation, benefits, or any employment protections.

7. No Job or Career Outcome Guarantee

Completion of a Stint does not guarantee employment, interviews, promotion, compensation or any other career outcome. Stinta is designed to help learners practice relevant skills and build confidence, not to guarantee specific results.

8. Subscriptions and Billing

Stinta offers a Free Stint and paid Basic, Pro and Platinum plans. Pricing and plan features are described on the Pricing section of the Stinta website. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis according to the selected billing period.

9. Free Stint / Trial Access

Stinta may offer a Free Stint or trial with limited access to the Services. Trial terms, including duration and available features, are described on the Pricing section. Trial access is subject to the terms in effect at the time of use.

10. Cancellation

You may cancel recurring subscriptions through your account settings. Access after cancellation follows the existing subscription entitlement rules. Stinta does not promise refunds unless required by applicable law.

11. User Content

You are responsible for the content you submit to the Services. You agree:

• Not to submit real personal data of other people into simulated exercises;
• Not to submit content that is unlawful, harmful, infringing, or otherwise prohibited;
• That Stinta may use, store and process your submissions to provide and improve the Services; and
• That you have the rights to submit any content you provide.

12. Portfolio and Certificate Use

Portfolio artifacts generated through Stinta should be represented accurately as simulated workplace projects. Specifically:

• Learners must not falsely represent a Stinta simulation as employment or work performed for a fictional company.
• Portfolio artifacts should remain clearly identified as SIMULATED WORKPLACE PROJECTS.
• Completion certificates recognize finishing a simulated learning experience and do not claim professional licensure, accredited certification or employment.
• Completed work may be shared on resumes or professional profiles provided it is described accurately as a Stinta simulation.

13. Acceptable Use

• Do not attempt to access another learner's records or circumvent access controls.
• Do not abuse AI features or submit prohibited content.
• Cybersecurity exercises may only be performed within Stinta-authorized simulated/sandbox environments. Users must not use Stinta content or tools to access, test or interfere with systems they are not authorized to access.
• Do not disrupt or interfere with the Services or servers.
• Do not use automated systems to access the Services in a manner that exceeds reasonable use.

14. Intellectual Property

Stinta's content, including platform materials, simulated datasets, curriculum and branding, is owned by Stinta. Portfolio artifacts and certificates you generate through the Services are yours to share, provided their simulated nature is not misrepresented as real employment.

15. Third-Party Services

The Services may integrate with or link to third-party services. Stinta is not responsible for third-party services, and their terms and privacy practices apply to your use of them.

16. AI-Assisted Features

AI-assisted feedback may contain errors and should be treated as educational guidance rather than authoritative professional advice. AI features are provided to assist learning and do not constitute professional, legal, regulatory, medical, financial or other advice.

17. Educational Information / No Professional Advice

GRC, privacy, cybersecurity, financial, healthcare and other simulation content is educational and is not legal, regulatory, medical, financial or professional advice. Do not rely on Stinta content as a substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific situation.

18. Service Availability and Modifications

Stinta may modify, suspend or discontinue features at any time. Stinta does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Services.

19. Suspension and Termination

Stinta may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or for any other reason at Stinta's discretion. You may stop using the Services at any time.

20. DISCLAIMERS

The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. Stinta does not warrant that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any specific learning or career outcome will result from using the Services.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stinta is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the Services. Stinta's total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid Stinta for the Services in the relevant period.

22. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Stinta harmless from claims, damages and expenses arising from your use of the Services or your violation of these Terms.

Stinta may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last Updated" date will be revised when changes are made. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
